Herrmann Ultraschall has appointed Joerg Zech as chief operating officer (COO), strengthening the company’s focus on operations. By further developing structures and processes, particularly at the company’s headquarters in Karlsbad, Germany, Zech aims to deliver measurable customer value and position the ultrasonic welding specialist for future growth.

In his new role, Zech brings extensive international experience in operations and sales. This gives him a strong understanding of customer needs, which he applies directly to improving operational performance. Initially, he will focus on four key areas: ensuring Herrmann’s proven product quality, guaranteeing on-time deliveries through efficient production processes, providing fast service, and advancing organizational development.

“We are already well positioned in many areas. Now it’s time to take our operations to the next level and consistently deliver outstanding quality for our customers as we continue to grow as an organization,” says Zech. “I see tremendous drive and strong collaboration throughout the company. That’s what convinced me of Herrmann Ultraschall from day one, and I look forward to helping shape the company’s future.”

Before joining the Karlsbad-based family business, Zech spent 25 years at Semikron Danfoss, a global market leader in power electronics. After building global sales organizations and serving several years as a managing director abroad, he transitioned into operations in 2013, most recently serving as vice president of operations. At Herrmann Ultraschall, he joins Thomas Herrmann (chief executive officer) and André Deponte (chief sales officer) on the executive leadership team.
